Dr. Anupriya Rao graduated from Emory University with a degree in neuroscience and behavioral biology. She then attended medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
She returned to Atlanta following medical school to pursue her ear, nose and throat surgery training at Emory University, which included work at Emory University hospitals, Grady Memorial Hospital, the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital and Chilrdren’s Egleston Hospital in Atlanta. Her research interests included voice outcomes after vocal fold paralysis and in studying safety of laser use in voice surgery. Her work was presented at the annual Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery society meeting in September 2022, and her research in residency was awarded first place for resident research in the 2022 Otolaryngology Research Forum.
During her free time, Dr. Rao enjoys experimenting with new recipes, hiking and walking around Atlanta, singing, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Rao is trained in all aspects of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery with a particular interest on thyroid and sinus diseases. She understands that personalized care with a holistic approach is the best way to help patients who experience challenges with conditions of the head and neck.
